I reviewed this book, since I'm an old B-3 player from my rock/lounge days (hey, I've still got my old Farfisa Compact Duo in the garage!). I wasn't expecting much, as I've read other books on the Hammond legacy, but this book. . . outstanding! Absolutely everything is covered, from a complete history (lots of pictures) of the B-3 and other models, how they work, new organs, best digital keyboards that emulate the B-3 with Leslie sound, to interviews with Joey DeFrancesco and others. 25 famous "Hammond Licks" written out, best way to mic a Leslie (also a thorough history/discussion of Leslie speakers, old and newer) - this is a wonderful book! Highly recommended to anyone that has (lucky you!) or had at one time a B-3 or related organ, coupled to a Leslie.
