The Jansen piano chair is constructed of hardwood maple, no assembly required.
- This is not a regular... (dining room table wrong height sloping the wrong way. . .)... chair! Anyone practicing or playing the piano is constantly adjusting their weight. This constant motion will destroy any chair, will cause chair joints to loosen and squeak: a regular chair is not built for lateral weight shifting. The Jansen piano chair is built for years (decades?) of hard use, a heavy and extremely solid chair which also provides lumbar support.
The Non-Adjustable chair seat slopes toward piano with 19" height in rear and 18" in front.
Also recommended for solo instrumentalists (harpists, guitar), as the forward slope of the chair top creates correct posture and better comfort.
Chairs are available in Ebony, Walnut, Mahogany, or Unfinished. Satin finish is standard, Hi-Polish is optional.
