For the upper intermediate to advanced pianist, this collection is a lot of fun. Aaberg is very sophisticated in presenting his works as complete, developed musical ideas. The effect is wonderful, and never goes toward the "I'm lost in eighth-notes land" feeling. These are all very carefully thought-out musical ideas. Highly recommended.

This is a wonderful collection, for intermediate and above pianists. Note that the song Soaring also contains the flute part on a separate staff, and Turning contains the separate vocal line with lyrics. Highly recommended collection, this is more difficult, more varied, and avoids the dull.

Beautiful for piano solo, but the songs can be rather difficult. Upper Intermediate to lower advanced in terms of technique, nothing overly difficult in terms of rhythm. If you know who Bob Dawson is, love his sound, and have the chops: this is an excellent collection.

Yanni, Best Of Very good arrangements, around the intermediate level. There are lots of arpeggios, and some intricate rhythms, but overall very playable after a bit of work.

My biggest gripe (always whining about something...) is that the editor does not add fingerings. It would not be a difficult thing to add, and would certainly be appreciated by everyone! My advice regarding arpeggios is, buy one of those pencil things, and take the time to figure out and write in the best fingering you can come up with. You will be very glad you did, and this should become a common practice for anyone at any level.
